Parenting Programs

Nobody’s Perfect Parenting

Nobody’s Perfect Parenting is an experiential workshop, focusing on parents and guardians with children 0-5 years old.  Each session is planned using the topics and challenges the participating parents have identified. Often these topics range from health concerns, emotions of both child and parent, behavior and relationship building.

The program is designed to affirm and celebrate what parents are doing well.  And to also build their problem solving skills and techniques to deal with hard situations.

We know every parent loves and wants to do their best raising their children.  Every parent comes knowing their child and how to deal with many difficult situations.  We also know that nobody’s perfect.

Summer Family Outings

Family time is essential in any family unit, but it is so hard to make time when that pile of dishes is staring you in the face.  Our family outings give an opportunity for families to get away from the pressures of daily life and have fun together.  This builds stronger families and reduces individual stress.

We plan 2 outings a week from the beginning of July to the middle of
August. We go to:

  •    Bird's Hill Beach
  •    Splash Island
  •    Bowling
  •    Picnicking at the Assiniboine Children's Park
  •    Folk Fest
  •    Kildonan Park Pool
  •    Children's Museum
  •    Tinkertown

This program is open to any adult family member caring for the children:  Moms, Dads, Grandparents or Aunties
